How do I add a new food?
  1. Click the search bar that says "Search For A Food".
  2. Start typing the name of the food.
  3. Click or tap to select a food that is the closet for what you searched for.
  4. There is no limit to the number of foods you can add, but we suggest not adding more than 100.
  5. If you can't find the food you are looking for try to change the search term. Change "Green Beans" to "Green String Beans"
  6. If you have a different name suggestion, please contact us to let us know.
How do I change a serving size?
  1. Click the serving size listed under the name of the food.
  2. A drop down menu will appear.
  3. Click the serving size you want.
  4. The results will automatically update.
How can I change the quantity of a food?
  1. Click the quantity box under the name. This box has a default value of 1.
  2. Enter the quantity you would like as a whole number, decimal, or fraction. I.E.: 2 Medium Apples, 1/2 Medium Apple, 0.333 Medium Apple.
  3. Click Update.
  4. The results will automatically update.
How can I create a custom serving size?
  1. Choose a serving size you want to modify. I.E.: "100 grams", "1 oz"
  2. Change the quantity in the quantity box to create a custom serving size. For example:
    • 3 x 100grams = 300 grams
    • 1/2 x 1oz = 1/2 oz
    • 0.685 x 100grams = 68.5 grams
  3. Click the serving size you want.
  4. The results will automatically update.
How can I delete a food?
  1. Click the "X" in the top right of the food card.
  2. The results will automatically update.
  3. The Nutrition Facts Search tool does not have a delete button. Just search for another food to replace it.
How can I share the amino acid results?
  1. Click the "Share" button and choose a share option.
  2. You can also copy and paste the link to share.
How can I save this calculation?
  1. Be signed in to your account. If you don't have an account, you can create one for free.
  2. Click the "Save Food" button.
  3. Choose a place to save the foods. Saving the foods to "favorites" will add them to your favorites list in the "My Foods" page.
    Saving the foods to a "recipe" or "meal" will combine them into one food and appear on the "My Foods" page.
How can I view a comparison of all selected foods?
  1. Click the "Comparison" tab above the Quick Stats and below the Number of Servings.
How can I view to the total nutrients for all selected foods?
  1. Click the "Totals" tab above the Quick Stats and below the Number of Servings.
